London Fulfilment Creates Space (& Saves Energy!) by Investing in New Bendi Forktrucks

The New Year has barely started, and London Fulfillment is already looking to improve storage capacity and the efficiency of its parcel delivery service with a major investment into new Bendi Forktrucks.

With over 25 years of experience in designing and manufacturing forklift trucks, Translift Bendi has engineered the current range to be a market-leader and the most cost-effective yet. This new investment will allow CDL to reduce its isle widths by up to 500mm, and rack up to 12.5 metres high, producing more all around storage space.

With the recent United Kingdom Warehousing Association’s report, Save Energy, Cut Costs, indicating that the UK warehouse sector could cut annual energy costs by £200 million, CDL is again leading its competitors by example by investing in a more versatile truck with the ability to outperform any of its rivals.

Set to be the biggest and most spectacular sporting event of the New Year, The London 2012 Olympics will be enjoyed by millions from 27 July to 12 August 2012 closely followed by the Paralympic Games from 29 August to 9 September 2012.

A step ahead of its competitors, CDL London Fulfilment, based at Woolwich is ideally situated to cover the event and the London Fulfilment Team is already making plans for what promises to be an incredibly busy period.

Having already created additional storage space of over 750 pallets in our Woolwich warehouse dedicated for the Olympics, CDL London Fulfilment have also invested in a standby fleet of 14 vehicles. These will help provide a 24 hour round-the-clock service ensuring our deliveries are as efficient as ever, and our customers can be as confident as ever in our service.

CDL Logistics Are Re-awarded Transport for London Contract

After performing storage, fulfilment and distribution services for Transport for London since 1990, CDL are delighted to announce that their contract has been renewed.

Currently CDL have a seamless interface between TfL and their management system IFS (Integrated Fulfilment System) that enables TfL to place and track orders and access a wealth of management information. During the current contract CDL has worked closely with TfL to greatly enhance the IT integration. Major goals achieved include the linking of the TfL Call Centre, TfL Website, TfL Head Office sites and Stations. CDL believe this has brought significant efficiencies and savings to TfL by allowing real time order placement, tracking and reporting.
